Who I Am
Before getting into excavation, I spent 8 years in the U.S. Army Infantry and also served as a reserve police officer and volunteer firefighter.
After that chapter of my life, I built a career in excavation and site development that now spans 22+ years.
I spent roughly 12 years working as an employee — including maintaining roads for the U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management — before spending another 10 years as an independent excavation and logging contractor.
I've worked on everything from individual homeowner projects — driveways, building pads, drainage, septic, clearing, and site prep — to larger developments, including 68-lot subdivisions.
Dirt Work Blueprint isn't based on theory or something I learned from a book. It's built from decades of working in the dirt, dealing with real projects, real contractors, real customers, and seeing firsthand what happens when a project is planned well — and what happens when it isn't.
I've also bought and developed land myself, so I've experienced these projects from the property owner's side of the table — not just from the seat of an excavator. I've dealt with the same questions about access, site development, costs, improvements, and whether a property actually makes sense before putting money into it.
I built Dirt Work Blueprint to give property owners the knowledge and tools I wish every customer had before the first machine ever showed up.
